The Drive – Home Renovation

This extensive full home renovation was done on a detached home in the Commercial Drive neighbourhood of Vancouver. This incredible character home was built in 1928 and hadn’t been updated since the 1970s. The goal of this project was to renovate the entire home using a mix of modern and antique techniques and products as the homeowners wished to keep some of the 1920’s character of the home.

One of the major undertakings of this project was that we turned the home’s unfinished basement into a legal two bedroom suite so that the homeowner could have an additional source of income. We also transformed the bare attic into an additional floor of living space featuring 3 bedrooms and a bathroom to accommodate the young family’s growth. The project’s budget was $150,000 and it was completed in 6 months.
